For causes unexplained,
i
love
the
rain
i
love
the
rain
..The reason being thus:
i
love
the
rain.
love
the
rain.
I crave the way it sleeks upon my cheeks,
Transforming salty tears
To polished smiles.
I breathe in deep, pure ecstasy! I sniff
The diamond pearls which sail a million ships.
The diamond pearls which sail a million ships.
Forever and
a day I’d stand without
A shelter for my head, though water pours
A shelter for my head, though water pours
And, but to
see the Promise in the Skies,
Farewell, I'd say, to where 'the Golden' lies!
Farewell, I'd say, to where 'the Golden' lies!
For causes
unexplained,
i
love
the
rain
i
love
the
rain
The reason
being thus:
i
love
the
rain.
i
love
the
rain.

Beauitful, Lucia! I love this. Althouugh rain is wonderful, I do get tired of grey skies, and crave my golden warmth, the sun. :)

I personally don't like being out in the rain. I never have. When I was little I would cry if I got wet oun in the rain. I do like rain if I am inside with a cup of tea and a good book. :)
ReplyDeleteOh yes.... I love the rain!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful. And, me too. :)

ReplyDeleteAmen *nods vigorously* That was awesome :) All around me when it's raining people will be pulling on hoods and umbrellas- and I'm the one with the hood off, smiling into the deluge.....
ReplyDeleteI seriously love rain so much. The end.
ReplyDeleteThe girl I nanny turned to me the other day and said, "Mägi, it smells like Jesus!" just as it started to rain.
ReplyDeleteLove the smell of rain.
And when an innocent child tells me it smells like Jesus, I have to say, I kinda believe her.
What a gorgeous, picture-painting poem! I have to agree as well--I love the rain!
