I crave the way it sleeks upon my cheeks,
Transforming salty tears
To polished smiles.

I breathe in deep, pure ecstasy! I sniff
The diamond pearls which sail a million ships.

Forever and a day I’d stand without
A shelter for my head, though water pours

And, but to see the Promise in the Skies,
Farewell, I'd say, to where 'the Golden' lies!
