authentic. yup, that's me.

I haven't done a blog party for...oh, ages. Actually, thinking about it, I have only done one blog party in my entire blogging experience--and it was also hosted by Miss Abigail Kraft of Rear Window.

Looks like I love her parties. :]

..I thought it was time to break the habit and join in on the fun that is the "Authentic People" blog party. I suggest you do to, because you know what it's all about? Being authentic. Being you. Not being a conformist to the patterns of any world, including the blogosphere. I'm all for that, so I'm in.

Basically, I just have to "introduce myself" all over again, and tell you some random facts about me through a slew of questions Abby has selected. It seems like I've been "introducing myself all over again" a lot this year..ah, well; you can never learn too much about me, aye? ;)
1.) What's the nerdiest/weirdest/geekiest thing about you?

I talk to myself, pretending I'm an actress in a movie reciting her lines. I read books aloud and pretend I'm the characters. I sing "The Star Spangled Banner" as I'm walking the dog, at least twice a day. Okay, that was three decide which is the weirdest. ;) People tell me I should be an actress because I have so much expression when I talk..maybe someday?? :)

2.) If you could live in a fictional universe from any book, television series, or movie, where would it be?

I think Anne Shirley's world on Prince Edward Island. I just love that place, and the whole story..<3
3.) Do you like animated movies? If so, which is your favorite?

First of all, YES. Absolutely. Especially Pixar! I have seen tons of amazing animated films this year, but my absolute favorite? Tangled, hands down. And then "Up," coming in close second. ;)

4.) What is your favorite household chore?

This sounds weird, but..sweeping. It gives me satisfaction. :)

5.) Have you ever dyed your hair?

Nope. But I do have these really light blond natural highlights in my hair, so people assume I have. ;) "Where did you get your hair done??"

6.) Do you make your bed every morning?

Yup. I couldn't get away with not doing it. ;)

7.) What was the last thing that made you laugh?

...Looking at this ^ picture (photo credit Greg H.), which my dear friends sent me "to put a smile on my face." Just because. And it did made me smile--and laugh, because I remember how silly we were and what good times we had with them. ;)

So now you've learned a little more about me. Why don't you join in so I can learn some more about you?

  1. Haha, awesome. i did this too. and yay! I'm not the only one who talks to herself like a character practicing her lines!! (i was just doing it, btw.) :")

  2. I just did this authentic party too, and it's been super fun reading different people's responses.

  3. This looks so much fun! I shall do this after I finish reading blogs. ; )

  4. Hehe, great answers! so jealous of your blond highlights! :-P I answered these questions, too:

  5. That looks like fun! ;) Yeah, I am well known in my family for talking to myself, and I really like to "act" too. :)

    Oh, that picture of you, Olivia, and the H. sisters is so sweet! {I wish I could see them someday...I've been writing Emily for a couple years!}

ha ha! my sister and i love anne of green gables! we're known to drive people crazy quoting something from one of the anne books for every occasion, having debates and friendly arguements over who our favorite characters are and who should have done what, and we have watched all the movies! all our books our pretty worn from our numerous readings, we both especially love rilla of ingleside-Oriana

  7. I loved this post. It was interesting to learn about the girl whose blog I read so often.

BTW: I am hosting a photo challenge over at my blog. I'd very much like it if you entered. (and there is a prize!)

  8. Sorry, I completely misspelled my blog address.

  9. I have read your blog for over a year now,But I never commented before,I follow a lot of blogs that I have never commented on,I am a wallflower of the blogging world.I just wanted to say how much your blog has blessed me,I have had my own blog sense I was 11,but I have been redoing it,I will send you the link when it's done.Oh,and I love L.M.Montgomery's books,I picked up 6 of them at a thrift store the other day, that pleased me.The picture of you young ladies made me happy.

  10. I like How To Train Your Dragon and Astro Boy over Tangled and Up, but I agree they are pretty decent. You should watch Tin Tin! It's great!

  11. I love Anne Shirley! Once a movie marathon or something came on TV, and my mom and I watched it for hours. My oh my.

Oh and Tangled rules the world. Seriously. One of the cutest animated movies EVER.

By the way - The reason you don't see me commenting much on your blog is because your posts do not show up in my dashboard. :'( Do you know how I can get your posts to show? I do love your blog. :-)
