For the past two days, our little community has been encased in a thick mantel of fog.
I love it.
...the quiet country roads around here I have traveled all my life (and, a little off-topic, but I have probably run over 1000 miles on them), but now blanketed in mist, once familiar roads have become paths into...
white nothingness.
I love it.

Forests look ghostly + enchanting, with their dark branches intertwined in mist--an almost Narnian or Lord of the Rings feel.
Open fences have a new mystery about them, for they, too, seem to open into nothingness.
fog = new love.

WOW! I reeaaaally want a forest and a road lined with trees and a foggy day now. I guess I'll have to settle for roads lined with scraggly mesquites and brush. :-) Amazing pictures!!

Beautiful pictures, Lucia! We've had lots of fog lately also, although in the other corner of the U.S. :) I really like pictures of fog, although I didn't get that many good ones this time, just a few. I did get a few pictures of some of our roosters silhouetted against a rising sun on a foggy morning! :) 'Hope you have a blessed day!

ReplyDeleteI love fog myself, especially when it's slipping down from the woods and gathering around a bridge over a creek...that, my friend, is gorgeous.
