..A few discomforts have come my way since I last posted. =P
For starters, yesterday while on a trail run with my Cross Country team, I tripped and fell over a root headlong...rolling my ankle. It only hurt a little and I was sure it was only a temporary soreness, but this morning, after icing/wrapping it, I woke up to a very swollen, aching ankle. =( So, here it is, wrapped duly and propped up as I strive to practice my piano in the mornings without a right foot for the pedals. Hmmph. If you wouldn't mind--please pray that it heals before Saturday! I have a race that day. *hopes*
This morning was definitely one of unpleasant discoveries--for I also woke up with a sore throat. Not terribly sore, but enough for me to drink gallons of tea and hope that it helps! Do any of you have some "special remedy" you use for sore throats? Let me know! *hopes again* ...And, please pray that this gets better, too. :)
~Just a small, unimportant, somewhat disheartening update. Blessings to ya'll!

Oh, I'm so sorry, Lucia! I'll be praying for you, girly! Hope it will heal fast.
ReplyDeleteHmmm... Sore throats... Well, some homemade chicken noodle soup would help keep you healthy. I think my mom says to add some lemon juice and honey to a mug of warm water, and that usually helps.
Much love,
Sereina
Aw!!! *throws some sunshine your way*
ReplyDeleteI totally understand how you feel.
Hope you feel well soon... <3
Awww, I'm so sorry, Lucia! I hope you feel better soon. :)
ReplyDeleteI'll be praying for you! I know what it is like to be sick and have important events to attened. =(
ReplyDeleteI've heard that honey is good for your throat, and just drinking LOTS of plain old water.
Hope you feel better soon!!
Love,
Samantha
awww...I'm sorry you don't feel good. I know the gargling warm salt water is supposed to help....Hope you get better soon.

Sorry about that! Praying that your ankle heals before your race!
ReplyDeleteMy mom always gives me tea, honey (yes, a spoonful and it's supposed to help, but it's awfully sweet), and ice-cream.
Wow, I can't believe you won a BLOG MAKEOVER! That's awesome! I really think you should stick to something like this, but without a picture for a header. Fancy things are nice, but I think simple things are nicer!
This comment it huge! :D
I'm so sorry about that, Lucia! I do hope you get better soon! What kind of races do you run? (how far) I run 1 mile runs, but I'm not on a team, or anything.
ReplyDeleteWe do the same as Sereina said, as far as the tea goes, it seems like it's very soothing! ;)
Praying you'll be better soon!
Much love,
Martha Joy
Hope you feel better and I had tea with honey, that is what works for me.
ReplyDeleteI can believe that you live 40 minutes away from where I am! Now would be a good time if I was having a giveaway and you won. :)
ReplyDeleteI hope you get better soon, darling girl.
ReplyDeleteSorry it took me so long to get back to your comment, I would send her an e-mailing nicely explaining that you won my blog design giveaway and that you are curious when she would start designing so that you have plenty of time to gather your thoughts for what you want your blog design to be.
Sore throats are going around. I have one too.
Blessings,
Maggie

I'm sorry Lucia! I hope that you start feeling better soon! I'll be praying for you. As for sore throats... we sometimes make a lemon thing. I'm not sure exactly what it is... but if you want the recipe I can e-mail it to you! :) Hope you feel better! You'll be in my prayers!
ReplyDeleteYour sister in Christ,
**Katie**
Oh, I'm sorry you hurt your ankle! And a sore throat... ugh. I usually drink grape juice when I have a sore throat, it feels very nice.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better!
