here i am, there they are..{pray for japan}

Chinese Earthquake

here i am, sitting cozily at the laptop upon our large green sofa.

there she is, lost in a street of rubble, crying and alone without her mother.

here i am, watching the rain splatter on the window panes, feeling calm and cozy within our heated home.

there he is, struggling in the water, desperate for help as a lone survivor.

here i am, frustrated at the low internet connection.

there they are, standing in a forlorn circle around the bodies of their family.

how spoiled i am.

how desperate they are

for help in this time,

for God.

::pray for japan. pray for this world.::

"I will never leave you or forsake you."
{Hebrews 13:5}

  1. My heart was breaking as I was watching the news videos of Japan's much we have here when their homeland is being destroyed there. I am praying.

  2. wonderful post Lucia! Very true!

  3. Wonderful and challenging post! Sometimes it's so easy to get caught up in our own little worlds that we forget that there are people who are hurting. People who need God's love. Thank you for the reminder to keep those in Japan in our prayers!

    I just found your blog...I've enjoyed looking around!

    In Christ,

  4. It is truly devastating.

  5. Oh, I have been praying, dear friend! Great post, and a wonderful reminder to continually be thankful for the many blessings we have!

  6. How true. When things like this happen we see how richly blessed we are. I was watching videos of the tsunami last night. How terribly aweful to see. I really like how you wrote this post, actually, I like all your posts!

  7. Thank you for the reminder to pray for these poor people. We must count our blessings every day and never take for granted our family, blessings, or life. Let us keep in mind how truly God has blessed each of us! Thank you,
    ~Dani, Amanda, and Emily

  8. OH! I have been praying ever so much. It's just tragic. I cannot even imagine... Those poor, poor people. :(
