city bokeh.

City lights. There is something beautiful about them, even if they can never compare to the open skies of stars flickering above a wide country field.

We went Christmas shopping downtown last night, and as we walked along the streets lined with lights, lampposts, and storefronts decorated with glimmering bulbs, I took the opportunity to capture some city bokeh.

..There was an enormous, gorgeous Christmas Tree in the square, lighted as only a city Christmas Tree can be lit.

Some street views had an almost British feel--the lampposts, the clock tower, the trees laced with Christmas lights..

City bokeh. My favorite kind.

  3. Oh so pretty! I love bokeh, so so much. Unfortunately I've gone to the mall--where there are tons of gorgeous lights--for Christmas shopping twice in the past week and forgotten to bring my camera both times. =P But your captures are lovely.

  9. Beautiful!!! :) Love bokeh! I don't know how to do it though... Maybe I don't have the right kind of camera... :P I have a Canon SD1400 IS and it takes great pictures, but it doesn't have all the intricate settings. What camera do you use?

    Christmas blessings!
