As an aspiring photographer (who is still a wanna-be, rather), I have many broad pathways before me. And if I am truly serious about this art, or passion, or career--or whatever it turns into for me, I believe that I should have goals. Goals make things realistic; worthy of time and effort.
So what are my goals--my aspirations for this pursuit of mine? Well, I want to capture beauty: everyday life, tiny delicate parts of God's unique world, people and places who He sets in my path...
..but most of all, I want to capture love. A.k.a., weddings + engagements. Happy people in love. Because there's so much beauty in all of that, and to have the opportunity to seize such moments...I think it would be bliss. ♥
Now, I'm talking to fellow aspiring photographers here: have you ever come across pictures so gorgeous that you immediately think,
"That's what I want to do. That's what kind of photographer I want to be--how I want to capture moments."
Well, I had one of those "inspiring instants" when I found the "French Farmer's Market" ^^ engagement shoot via Green Wedding Shoes. I've seen a lot of engagement sessions, but this has to be one of my absolute favorites. The stunning layout, lighting, poses...this is just exactly what I want to be doing, someday.
Take a look..pure eye candy, folks.
^^ ummm...beautiful, much?? How cute is the boots idea!
♥ ^^
^^ Stunning.
Anyone else dying out there?? ;]
Love is pretty. It needs to be captured. And someday, Lord willing and with much saving, working, and experience along the way, I'm going to do it.

Aww! Cool pictures, I love her dress (though I wish it was a wee bit more modest :) And photography is so much fun :) Not that I am a photographer. A beginner is pretty sufficient for me :) I never really thought about which kind of photography I would want to do. I will think about that :)

I am sooooooo dying over those pictures. ;) Only I wish the dresses were less... skimpy. Those pictures would look so much better if they were a bit longer on the skirt and higher on the top. :/
ReplyDeleteThey were still BEAUTIFUL pictures.
By the way, I'm an aspiring photographer myself, and I wonder if you would have rather gotten the Canon Rebel T3 than the one you got, the Nikon D3100. Just leave a comment over on my blog. :)
These. Are. Amazing. Lucia, if you ever become this kind of photographer, I will personally fly you out to Phoenix to do this for me XD
ReplyDeleteThis was so unbelievably gorgeous.
ReplyDeleteYou see, I have this thing with colors. So many colors on clothes you see out shopping (and this is one of the reasons I happen to strongly dislike shopping, actually) are flat and lifeless and old paint-esque. These, though...there's softness here that isn't in the flat colors. And brilliance, too. I love that so much. :D Thankee muchly for posting. This seriously made my day.

ReplyDeleteI love taking pictures, and I've considered being a photographer once. But I still want to be a singer/songwriter. That's the one thing that has been on my heart for a very long time. And I think it's what God is calling me to do.
Oh how pretty!! I absolutely love the pictures! I also LOVE the girls outfit!
