..A very happy Thanksgiving, from the bottom of my heart!...

I am thankful for my wonderful followers, one-time-visitors, and dear friends I have made since beginning my blogging adventure. May the LORD bless you!

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving, and His courts with praise! Give thanks to Him, bless his name!

Winter is Here!

..Well, the weather outside it frightful, but the snow is so delightful! As there's really no place to go...

~Let it snow, let it snow, LET IT SNOW!!~

...I am enjoying this little bit of whiteness that has decided to visit in time for Thanksgiving. Goodness, our area hasn’t had a white Thanksgiving for…who knows how long? I certainly wasn’t around. ;)

The fire is crackling merrily, as I’m sure it is in most of your homes which are blessed with a wood stove…it is just such a part of Winter, to me! A mug of warm Sugar Cookie Tea in my hand (SCRUMPTIOUS tea, ladies—do try it!), an ear warmer over my head, a scarf about my neck, and my school books in my lap. *Sigh* ..Not to mention the dozens of water troughs outside waiting to be unthawed…=)

Anyways. I am enjoying the snow, and though we only have about an inch…it is snow, nevertheless! Today some dear friends are coming over (LORD willing, with this weather!) to watch a movie with us. I am excited, as we haven’t seen the for some time! Also, another exciting thing coming up…another sweet friend is going to be guiding my sister, a few other young ladies, and I in making our own regency dresses! I am thrilled…we may even get to go to a ball, if all works out. Yay! Have any of you made an “old-fashioned” dress before? Tell me, what color was your’s? I am still in the hard decision of what color to make it…

A Ministry Opportunity...

...Today, the local Homeschool Choir which I play the piano for was privileged with the opportunity to bless a few nearby Nursing Homes. We put together a small program of Thanksgiving songs, such as "Thank You, Lord," "We Bring the Sacrifice of Praise," "This is my Father's World," etc. :) After our first "concert," we were able to have a small potluck at a gracious friend's home.

My sweet friend Shelbe J. and I decided to take some "Fall" pictures...there weren't many places to take, as we were in a neighborhood, so we used the front door! ;)

..Some "just for fun" shots...not so 'nice' looking, but oh well! :)

All in all, it was a productive and blessed day. I look forward to our next ministry, which will be at our director, Mrs. W.'s church next week. =I Pray all goes well!

Love to You All,

Is There a Path to Yesterday?

People tell me life is like a road.
A long,
Beautiful road
With little paths beside it,
Each leading who knows where--
Perhaps to Marriage,
Perhaps to Fortune,
Perhaps to Disaster.

Is there a path to Yesterday?

A little hidden lane, perhaps,
That none can find but we who are in need--
A hasty word,
A hurried choice,
A sharp regret that needs to be set right.

Is there a path to Yesterday?

Sheer nonsense, so I'm told,
Perhaps it is--I wouldn't know.
The worse for me and all of my laments:
Unaccomplished dreams,
Lost tempers never found.

Still, it's a pleasant thought
That I could undo every slip--
I cannot blame my muddy road for all.

Is there a path to Yesterday?

*Poem and photo copyright 2010 L.M. Morud. If you copy, you will be in trouble! I have ways...;) So, thank you for heeding this advice.*

~~Note on poem: there doesn't need to be a "Path to Yesterday!" Though we may regret many things and need to ask forgiveness of others sometimes, Jesus has forgiven us of all our past wrongs and thrown them away, if we ask Him. Hurray!~~

A Healthful Start--Oh, Yes, Indeed!

..I was proud of myself, today. Know why? I has such a healthy breakfast! Surprising?? Well, not really, I suppose...our family *tries* to eat "healthy" all the time, but some days it is just what's in the cupboard!

..I was going to show you what a delightfully delicious healthful breakfast I had? Indeed!

One homemade Banana Nut Muffin...

Want to try 'em? Well, then!
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
4 overripe bananas
1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup (1 1/2 sticks) unsalted butter, melted and cooled
2 eggs
1 teaspoon pure vanilla extract
1/2 cup pecans, chopped

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F and lightly butter 2 muffin tins.

In a large bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt; set aside. Mash 2 of the bananas with a fork in a small bowl so they still have a bit of texture. With an electric mixer fitted with a wire whisk, whip the remaining bananas and sugar together like you mean it, for a good 3 minutes. Add the melted butter, eggs, and vanilla and beat well, scraping down the sides of the bowl once or twice. Mix in the dry ingredients just until incorporated. Fold in the nuts and the mashed bananas with a rubber spatula. Spoon the batter into the muffin tins to fill them about halfway. Give them a rap on the counter to get any air bubbles out.

Bake until a toothpick stuck in the muffins comes out clean, 18 to 20 minutes. Let cool for a few minutes before turning the muffins out. Serve warm or at room temperature.

Two slices of organic Pear...

One glass of Organic OJ

..Yes, I am quite pleased with myself. ;) A good breakfast starts the day of right, as I always say!

...Well, this is the first time I've said it, but..=D

Miss Anonymous' Question Answered!

I am so pleased to say that I recieved many answers concerning Miss Anonymous' question last week. Ladies, you were a tremendous help! Love to you all. <3

"So....Is is bad to 'like' someone?
Because I have a major crush on a boy I know..."

Miss Grace answers...
...I use to wonder the same thing, and by reading other Christian young ladies articles, strongly thinking and praying about it, I came to this conclusion. No, I do not believe it is wrong to "like" or having romantic feelings for a boy, God gave us these feelings, they are natural! I do believe, however, that we should not get carried away. These feelings must be kept pure and in their proper place. Every girl knows the feeling. That special someone walks into the room and your heart beats, your palms sweat, and suddenly you're at a loss for words and just sit their awkwardly. (I had that feeling just this morning *blushes* lol). Like I said, those feelings are natural. But you must remember that God has your future husband already picked out, think of him and what you're waiting for. And yes I guess there is that possibility that that guy could be the one, but usually, that's not so. Try, as hard as it may be, to put those feelings aside and think of him as a brother in Christ. Pray, and ask God to calm your nerves, and talk to him like a normal person, but still, being careful not to give your heart away carelessly. (see Proverbs 4:23.) One thing that I find really helps me, is to pray for his future wife. Yes, it can be quite painful inside because my heart screams "No! I want to be that young lady in his life!" But praying and asking God to keep my thoughts pure and focused on Him, and also praying for the guy's future wife, helps to keep my heart and feelings in it's proper place.

Miss Jocelyn answers...
First I would say to anonymous:
“Above everything else, guard your heart; for it is the source of life’s consequences.” {Proverbs 4:23}
...It will deceive you if you put your trust in it and what its feeling. Lean on the Father’s understanding and the Spirit’s leading, and continually seek out those who will help you stay in that parameter of purity. (
I’ve been told, “Well, it’s natural for me to have these thoughts. What can one do?” The Scriptures says to take all thoughts captive to the Messiah. If you have feelings for someone you should be praying and studying the Scriptures for guidance. Take all those thoughts captive to Yeshua (Jesus). Don’t let your flesh and emotions run wild. Don’t keep it a secret from those who can encourage and help guard your feelings. Don’t put yourself in any position where you will be tempted or fall into sin. Tell your parents. Tell your sister. Ask them to pray for you to remain pure in thought as well in action. You’re never too old to be held accountable to someone, even just a friend.

Miss Nela answers...
...Well, what would you feel like if your future husband was 'crushing' on someone else rather than you? It's probably best to focus your mind on other things (schoolwork, writing, playing, etc.) rather than focus on something that your not ready for yet.

Don't get me wrong, once I had this 'over the top' major 'crush' on this guy that I knew and I couldn't stop thinking about him, imagining about him, and all that stuff. One night, I got so sick of just thinking about his name, that I prayed to God too take away my desire for him to notice me. In the end, it worked! Why don't you share your thoughts in prayer to God and after you said what was on you mind stay silent, and listen for God's answer.

"Call to me and I will answer you and tell you great and unsearchable things you do not know." - Jeremiah 33:3 ;)

Miss Ra'hel answers...
Oh, how well do I know the difficulty of this! Especially within the teen years, when the World insists that being all over guys and having "crushes" and boyfriends at age two is normal. I encourage you, sister, to pray without ceasing. Our LORD knows our difficulties, as Miss Lucia mentioned in her post, and He will help you keep yourself under control if you come to Him!

Miss Caitlin answers...
My advice to you with this: go to your Mother, Sister, Father, trusted friend...ask them to pray for you in this! Also, when you are in the presence of this young man or know that you are going to be seeing him soon, simply pray beforehand. Ask God to guard your heart especially within this time. He will!

...Thank you SO much, girls, for your loving help in this matter. Please stand by for more questions regarding this topic. I will need your help and wisdom!

"When Your Heart Begins to Stray:" Questions to Answer!

..So, friends, I have a favor to ask of you. :)

Do you remember my September post, "When Your Heart Begins to Stray," on when you have stumbled in your walk of Purity? Read it here if you need to refresh your memory, or are a newcomer. =)

Anyways. I got quite a few {rather difficult} questions concerning that topic, and I am not wise by myself. I was wondering: could you, my Dear Friends, help me out, if you feel so led? Please pray about your answers, then send them in to me by e-mail:

..I will post the answers to each question ASAP. Thank you so much! I really want as much input from godly young ladies as I can get...I could do this all by myself, but more make the wiser, and I am certainly not wise. ;)

So. Without furthur adiu, here is the first question I recieved concerning my "Purity Post". I have chosen to keep all questioners anonymous, even if they did not explicitly desire this.

So....Is is bad to 'like' someone?
Because I have a major crush on a boy I know...

Girls? Ladies? What are your answers? How can you wisely advise this young lady?

~ I eagerly await your answers! Miss Anonymous, thank you for your question. We will {hopefully} have some heart-felt answers to you shortly! Do not give up in striving to remain pure. <3

*If you answer the question by comment instead of by e-mail, I will not publish your comments until the "answering" post*
