If I Had a Million Dollars...

...I would spend it on Etsy.

Oh. My. Goodness.

:)

..So I just discovered the fun of creating Etsy treasury lists. If y'all don't know what Etsy is, it is a place where people from all over the world can sell their handmade items. All of the for-sale items are to-die-for, I can assure you. You can create a free account and not have to sell anything, too (like me)--just to look around, heart shops, find future giveaway items, and..creat treasury lists. Muahahaha!

My creations so far:

"Umbrella Love"
{Hehe, I know..the theme around here, right??}

"The Cat's Meow"
{Just cuz Ich liebe cats.}

"Pinkish, and Blossoms, and Pretties, Oh My!"
{Feminine and posh and all that good stuff.}

..So have you discovered Etsy treasuries? What do you like to create? Visit my full collection, and leave me the link to your's!

Liquid Sunshine. :)

{via}

So. I don’t know about you, but “Liquid Sunshine” is pretty much the most amazing word pair I have ever seen (er—read). And do you wanna know what’s even more amazing? Olivia over at Horsefeathers is having a humongo {blog party} entitled just that: Liquid Sunshine.

Now, I really have to say that I normally never join blog parties. Why? Because they cause me to graffiti up my blog with all sorts of long lists of silly questions that make people go, “Eeek!” and click the red “X” button {or worse yet, the “unfollow” button…horror of horrors!!}. We don’t want that, do we, now? So I generally make it a rule to steer clear of awards, tags, blog parties, and everything that spells UNEEDED.

…So, a little announcement here: this time is the time for abnormall-ness. Oh, yesh. I have decided not to be a party pooper this time, but join in the “Liquid Sunshine” blog escapade…not just because there are $300 worth of prizes involved, not just because Olivia is a one-of-a-kind hostess and has an exceptional blog: I am joining because it has been way too long since I told you about myself. Yup, I know you are dying to know everything, so I am in this for you.

Favorite season, and why? Oh, goodness..Summer, of course! It's warm, it's mixed feelings of so-busy-you-can't-breathe + delicious freedom with the soft grass beneath your toes. Did I make myself clear enough, or do I need to go into detail? :) Well, I will spare you--aside from the smallish facts that summer = flowers, vacation, swimming, haybales, sprinklers, company, sleeping under the stars....etcetera. :)

How would you describe your personal style?  Comfortable Mixer. Meaning, if something isn't comfortable, I don't wear it. Also meaning that I am an un-sortable bundle of girly, whimsy, stylish, and old-fashioned--all depending on what day of the week it is.

What's one weird thing you can do? (The stranger the better!) Imitations. I just can't help myself. When I'm repeating something someone has said to me, I very often contort their voice into either: females--high-pitched and sweet, or males: hillbilly farmer slash slight rendition of Barney Fife. :P If you've ever siad something to me, chances are you have been a victim. :) No offense intended...

Rain or shine? "A little bit o' rain, a little bit o' shine.." a mix keeps me happy. :) Give me rain for a dreary school day, give me shine for my church picnic.

Confession time... what's a flaw of yours? Comitting to too many things at once. I do it all the time, and regret it later when I'm collapsing over a huge bundle of miscellaneous intentions that I can't even see over. This consists of e-mails, letters, promised interviews, promised articles, sewing projects, etc. Gotta get a hold on that, I know...o_O

Favorite music? I like a mix of contemporary Christian, hymns, and classical. I have to be in the right mood for each type.

Have you ever made a decision you instantly regretted? What was it? Heehee...this is bringing me back to my childhood days. When I was around six, we had a babysitter who wouldn't let us paint our nails in our bedrooms, as we might stain the rugs. Now, I had always painted my nails in my bedroom, and had never spilled on the carpet, thank you very much. Thus, I painted my nails on my bed one day when the babysitter was here. Instantly I realized that she would smell the paint's odor, even if I didn't spill...and I would be in very big trouble. I regretted my desicion the moment the last stripe of color was brushed over my nails. Yup, she smellt it. Yup, I was in trouble. :)

Who do you admire/look up to? So many...my mom, sisters, and friends..but one in particular: my sweet, dear pen-pal Dani. :) She is a blessing to me in so many ways, and a wonderful example to me! {{HUGS}}

You've just won an unlimited lifetime supply of... what? Gum. Low-cal, breath-saving goodness. I think I would scream.

If you were an animal, what would you be? A horse, of course. <3 But, not just any horse..it would have to be a well-loved horse, because I know that there are many owners who abuse their animals. :( To run with the wind...be sleek and strong and beautiful...

If you knew you were going to die in a year, what would you do with your time? I would be certain to devote myself even further to spending as much time as I could preparing myself to meet my Maker. I would also be certain to visit all the people and places I have been dreaming of,

You're now a gazillionaire... where do you go to spend your money? Of course I would give a large portion of it to the LORD, but on myself? Ooh...travel. :) Hotels. :) Pretty, poofy dresses. :)

Classical music: love it or hate it? So-so. I love most classical music, if it's light and fairy-ish and makes me sigh with want of summer. But I dislike modern classical, bangy and loud classical, and all oompa-oompa music in general. :D

Phobias? Fires, and planes ceasing to work {thus dropping from the sky}. :P

Hop on a plane and go live somewhere for a year... where is it, and why? Providing it doesn't fall from the sky, ;) SWITZERLAND! In the ALPS! Why? Jest cuz I luv it so. It's gorgeous, it's mountains, it's fresh air all the time, it's flowers blooming everywhere you step..and fresh goat milk. <3 :)

Would you/do you perform on stage? Yep, I've done it. And done it. And done it again. It's just bound to happen when you're made to preform in every talent show that comes your way, plus you play an instrument and can carry a tune, plus you are available for funerals, weddings, and the like. I like acting, and wish I could have gone into it...

There! How did you enjoy all that knowledge, {mostly} ladies and {few} gentlemen?

Apple Pie Day~~

Yesterday was "Apple Pie Day" at our state capitol.

{Singing in the choir on the capitol steps; I'm circled in red..:)}

...What is "Apple Pie Day," you ask?

{The view from the top of the building}

..Well, here, there is a week in March that is designated by out governernor as "Home Education Week," and every other year hundreds of families take a trip to the capitol to say, "Thanks for allowing us to continue to educate our children as we see fit." We bring our county senators/represenatives home-baked apple pies, too {hence the name}! :)

{Olivia and I playing background music in the Galleria}

This is our..oh, goodness, probably fourth time coming (I was nine when we first attended), but we have never "participated" as much as we did this year. Olivia and I were "guides--" helping to show families around/to correct buildings, etc. We also auditioned to play background music for the capitol workers in the Galleria--and we got in, so we did that..."Oh Danny Boy" (LOVE that song!!), "Be Thou My Vision," and "The Lover's Waltz." Olivia just got a mandolin, but has already picked up on it {as she already knows the guitar}, so she played that.

~~

..Also, we took a tour of the building, and met our county's rep. and senator.

{With our senator}

{Our friends the B. children taking their turn as well in the Galleria}
{
...Then, we were in the "all-state" choir, singing some patriotic songs on the capitol steps. :)

{Can you spot me? ;) And YES, I did go to alot of trouble to just color the roses..take it in, folks, take it in!}

{The cherry trees were blooming in the capitol's park!}

{At the very  top of the capitol--the "Tower!"}

{The whole group}

...And then, there was a time for just random photography..:D

{The blossoms were GORGEOUS!}

...There was a "planned parenthood" ralley going on at the same time as the choir/speeches outside the capitol. :( Friends, please be praying for our country. We are going downhill, fast, and I'm afraid the bump at the end is not going to be pretty.

..But, let's not let that dampen our spirits, because we DO know for sure that our LORD is in control. Praise Him for that! <3

~~

Have a blessed day in Christ..
