So. I lied. Accidentally. I truly thought I would be back sooner than this. But look! I have photo proof for you: I've been busy. Like, really busy. One of the changes in my life (spoken of in my last post) that has occurred is my photography career. What started as a for-fun hobby is now rapidly blossoming into a (not quite official) side business. In fact, I just launched a page, am working on organizing my portfolio and a website, and I have gazillions of folders of shoots to share with you all.
I have had the chance to photograph several weddings this year, and now, I want to share this one with you.

Elijah and Jessica, two sweet persons whom I am happy to also call my friends, were married in the backyard of a family friend (who also happens to be a mutual friend of mine. Gotta love small towns). It was to be an evening wedding, but morning already promised sky-rocketing temperatures--and Oregonians are easily wilted by heat.
But it was okay (and I'm going to be cheesy here; bear with me), because love was also promising to be at an all-time high. And Oregonians (at least the ones I am happy to know) are pretty dang good at this whole love thing. I might be biased, but, still.
The girls wore pink and the boys wore romeos, and there was a potluck + strawberry shortcake for dessert. Adjectives--homey, pretty, friendly, sweet--were monogrammed into the atmosphere. It was a joy to capture such a sweet love as Elijah + Jessica's.
